If you are looking for the perfect thing to get for your child's teacher this year- look no further. Guest Blogger Janice has compiled a wonderful list for you!
We just had to share this blogger's write-up with you all. We are thrilled we made the list! Thank you Janice. :)
As the school year is wrapping up for summer break (I know, it IS sad) parents all around are scrambling for the elusive "Perfect Teacher Gift." I know how it goes- I am class mom in my daughter's classroom and everything I have found simply takes too much time or money... I can spend hours creating a beautiful personalized gift or I can drop a bunch of money on a spa package or something I know the teacher will appreciate. What do you do?
I have compiled here a list of my favorite ideas- from things bought to things made this list is (I think) a great conglomeration of ideas that will hopefully help you out in your quest.
In no particular order here are some of the things I've found (and loved) for teacher gifts: 1. Thumb Print Art for their classroom with the kid's fingerprints. Check out the photos; they explain it better than I can:
Adorable, right? I just know my daughter's teacher would absolutely love this, and it is only $35 (depending on size- our class is only 20 kids so I am going small which is 40-60 prints so parents can contribute too). From what I've seen on their site I can get it within a week- and you can put in the Teacher's name, year, etc. so it is really personal. I really like this idea and would frame it for her to hang. Check out the selection on the site Trading Phrases here.
2. While on the site above I was browsing (wow, they have a lot of stuff) and found a few other things! Since they are all from one place I'm just going to include them all in this number. Decals (soo many) but specifically those for education. I know that our teacher would love some motivational/inspirational quotes on her walls. I saw some in another classroom so I know they are allowed. Here are some that I am considering: They actually have a whole category for classroom decals and they have some really cool ones! I just thought these would work best in our particular room- they are so cute! Check out the rest on their site here.
3. I found this list with 25 ideas (some photos below) and I love them! I am not sure I have enough time to craft something up myself- but they are so personal and adorable! I really love all the things using crayons (there are a lot of crafts with crayons), but I do worry that if the room gets warm or if she puts them outside (like the crayon wreaths I see everywhere) that they would melt, is that crazy of me? 4. And by far the easiest option- a $80 massage from the closest massage place (MassageEnvy in this case). Unfortunately it is really not personal and costs a lot- but she will likely appreciate this the most, or maybe she really does want something personal... hard to say.
So I've decided to go with the thumbprint art- I just love it, and I think both the teachers and kids will get really into it. I am probably going to send this blog to the company since I talk them up so much, hahaha. Hey, extra exposure, am I right? Let me know in comments what you end up doing for your kiddo's teacher- or if you found an even better idea!
