Fireside Retreat Tea SAMPLE

Fireside Retreat Tea

Hailing from the Fujian province in China, this lapsang souchong tea has a distinctive smoky flavor and heady aroma. This tea is dried over pinewood fires to invoke the essence of smoke that comes though both in smell and in taste. This is one of my favorite black teas because no matter how long I leave it steeping, it never takes on the bitter flavor that can happen with teas. To me this is smooth and flavorful, but this is definitely a 'love it or hate it' type of tea. We recommend sample sizes if you've never experienced lapsang souchog tea before. Get creative and add it as a part of a rub for salmon or BBQ meat!
