Root Beer Spice
Cinnamon Ginger Maple Brittle Star Anise Orange Peel Examples of our 2 oz Canisters

As nostalgic as an A&W root beer, this blend of organic South African rooibos, sassafras root bark, cinnamon, and vanilla is inspired by the classic soda fountain beverage. Delicious by itself or prepared with the double the tea and served over ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:  organic rooibos, organic honeybush, cinnamon, licorice root, flavors, sassafras root bark, allspice, ginger, maple brittle, orange peel, star anise

Steeping Suggestions:  1-1½ tsp. tea, 8 oz. boiling (212°) water, steep for 5 minutes

Iced Tea Recipe: 1/4 cup of loose leaf tea, 8 cups of cold water, steep for 30-40 minutes in the fridge, sweeten to taste. Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.

Welcome to our new line of tea blends! We design using a bit of love and a lot of tea to keep the creative energy going. Try one of our favorite blends and we think you'll find a new favorite!

  • Canisters: We offer beautiful reusable canisters of tea in 2 oz and 4 oz sizes. These are suitable for long term storage of your teas, and also make great gifts!

  • Tins: Try a smaller batch of tea with one of our 1.5 oz tins, or mix things up and add a tin of rock sugar for just the right amount of sweetness.

  • Loose Leaf Bags: Our bags of loose leaf teas are the most affordable way to try our teas. These resalable bags are great for storage or to refill one of our decorator canisters.

  • Sachets: Try our full leaf tea bag sachets option if you're not a fan of loose leaf teas. Makes a great gift!

Sizes and cups per container: While each tea is different, a good rule of thumb is that you can get about 10+ cups of tea per ounce of loose leaf tea using 1 tsp per cup.

I am usually not a fan of rooibos, but there is something about this tea.....Maybe it's because I like root beer in its purest form {supermarket brands do NOT count}.Maybe it's simply because there is so much going on here: Root Beer Spice is such a complex mixture of licorice root, sassafras root, allspice, maple brittle {who does that?}....all of these wonderful flavors layer harmoniously to deliver a very singular taste--and that is goodness! If you are familiar with the word "gourmand" then this tea is for you {w/out the excess of course}.
